Consoles from the Lawo mc² series are all based on identical software and hardware. Only the control surfaces differ, with varying sizes and configurations, all designed to handle a variety of requirements. Thus console configuration data can be freely exchanged between the different types of mixing console, even if the hardware varies. When fitted with the maximum number of DSP cards, up to 512 DSP channels are available (divided into inputs and outputs).

Unbeatable functionality at a small footprint: the mc²56 is the latest member of the Lawo family and is perfectly suited also for ambitious projects. Despite the compact frame not one of the functions has to be missed. The innovative touch screen in the central section replaces many buttons and, furthermore, gives you a clear overview. If more faders are required you can easily extend the system by additional modules.

The well laid out control surface permits rapid access to all parameters and is compact enough for mobile applications. Control surfaces with up to 56 faders are available, but ABS can also provide different sizes suitable for smaller applications. The number of interfaces is virtually unlimited, so that complex requirements with over 8000x8000 audio signals can be catered for.

Typical applications include international sports events, music production, touring theatre, musicals, TV shows, surround control rooms, and more.

In comparison to the mc²66, this Lawo flagship has been expanded with additional operational elements and has more directly accessible functions. In terms of operation it is similar to the mc²66, and the increased dimensions facilitate teamwork involving several sound engineers.
